Thank you to everyone who popped by to my Bushcraft stand at the Chalfont St Giles village show – it was lovely to chat with friends, show visitors and past customers. Yes, I baked more bread; some sun dried tomato and garlic bread and a few others (they didn’t last long).
Once the bread had all been eaten, I ran fire-lighting demonstrations, showing show visitors how to light fires without a match. Nice to see the sun come out long enough to use both a parabolic mirror and magnifying glass to light a fire, other methods used included, using wire-wool and battery, flint and steel and of course fire-by-friction.
