Immersive Bushcraft experiences in the Chilterns - Bushcraft with David Willis provides fun, informative and educational courses that teach wilderness living skills, nature connection and woodland crafts, with activities to suit all ages, abilities and needs!

Location

Scheduled courses and events are provided in the Chilterns, Buckinghamshire, and just a short drive from neighbouring home counties Hertfordshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire, or a train ride from London on the Metropolitan or Chiltern Line, the local station being Chalfont & Latimer.

It was a Campfire Bread Baking kind of day - preparing sticks for pizza inspired stick bread, making feather sticks fire lighting, naan breads with locally sourced lamb kebabs, and these tasty little loaves. And a woodland walk to learn about the trees whilst waiting for the bread to prove. Quite a good day with nice folks 💚

Pensive - making most of solo time in the woods, yes I know, really taking photos. Well I took these and then sat a while, listening, watching and being curious about what surrounds me here in this peaceful place. A beautiful oak, it's angular branches and leaves luminescent in the sunshine, a young buzzard calling, a fresh deer lay, sitting beneath an old pollarded beech tree, probably from when a community lived here long ago, and mosquitos who appreciate I'm wearing shorts 🙄

Freshly baked bread - it's definitely a firm favourite, and well fresh bread is best when it's still warm out of the oven 😋

Pizza inspired loaf with tomato paste, lots of herbs, and chilli, with a splash of olive oil in the baking pan, and a 50:50 loaf; strong bread flour and wholemeal, and a plain loaf too. All rather tasty and enjoyed 😊
