Immersive Bushcraft experiences in the Chilterns - Bushcraft with David Willis provides fun, informative and educational courses that teach wilderness living skills, nature connection and woodland crafts, with activities to suit all ages, abilities and needs!

Location

Scheduled courses and events are provided in the Chilterns, Buckinghamshire, and just a short drive from neighbouring home counties Hertfordshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire, or a train ride from London on the Metropolitan or Chiltern Line, the local station being Chalfont & Latimer.

The coolest kettle - yes really, once it was shiny The coolest kettle - yes really, once it was shiny, it's stainless steel gleaming bright, but a happy kettle is a black kettle, it shows it's love of many a campfire, its curvy handle is nice to hold, and with a gentle fire that caresses its bottom, its seldom to hot to grasp, once in a while is scoured inside, removed the scale from hard water, and then at last, it's back to the campfire it goes, a we enjoy another brew. Simply beautiful in the woods today - fortunate th Simply beautiful in the woods today - fortunate that the storm that ravaged so much of the country, had calmed by the time it reached the Chilterns, and despite the crazy weather my woodland camp and tarpaulin roof weathered well, despite the gusty winds and heavy rain. Sunshine - lovely to see the sun shine through the Sunshine - lovely to see the sun shine through the woodland canopy, the leaves all shades of bronze, yellow and copper, many now a crispy carpet just awaiting to be crunched and some joyful kicking. Sitting quietly, I hear the occasional crackle from the remains of the campfire, and the sound of a leaf gently landing on the blanket of leaves.
