Gathered a few nettle tops while the kettle was simmering, looked for the freshest ones, a little past their best for eating but fine for a cuppa. Boiled water poured over half a dozen nettle tops and leave for ten minutes to brew, and enjoy 😊

Campfire Conversation - there is something quite s Campfire Conversation - there is something quite special about chatting by a campfire, and being just a one-to-one makes it all the more so. With no agenda, just talking about anything that comes to mind, life experiences, adventures had, challenges, life in the woods, dreams for the future and more. Yesterdays was really nice and I look forward to more campfire conversations.

First coffee of the day will arrive soon 🙂 It's lovely in the woods, a few degrees cooler, a little fresher with a gentle breeze. Wishing you a wonderful day, perhaps with a walk in the woods 🌳

And there are so many things to see when we take the time, three amazing bridges over the river, the lovely arches of a road bridge built in the 17 hundreds, the huge brick built railway by Brunel in the 19th century and a lovely foot bridge with its white painted iron work. An old boat house, still occupied with an old saloon launch hidden underneath. And just the beauty of reflections across the water. Anyway getting out on the river was good, provided much needed space to recharge.

A good week 💚

(Not quite vegan chicken - oops sorry, could have so easily been, but I used an egg, I'll remember next time hopefully)

NB. Pictures of this fab fungus in previous post!
